                                             Depression and Women Over 40





Women who are between the ages of 40-69 are more at risk of severe depression leading to suicide according to the research conducted by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) between 1998 and 2007.

Possible Causes:
     Pain and sleep disorders
     Increased use of prescription drugs
     Health changes, menopause, hormone fluctuations
     Negative life events
     Loneliness, empty nest transitioning/divorce
     Disappointment and disillusionment with life and love
     Anxiety
