Hypnosis
It is a temporary state of altered awareness in which the conscious mind is passive and the subconscious is alert and responsive.  As a result, a person in this state becomes hyper-suggestible and is able to carry out suggested actions beyond his or her normal capabilities.  A person will not do or say something against his or her own will.  It can provide effective habit control and confidence.  People who respond well to hypnosis usually are intelligent, open to learning, and have the ability to concentrate.  Some areas in which hypnosis can help are:  smoking; weight management; and emotional problems.
